Was hatte Atatürks Politik mit der Guevaras und Castros zu tun? Atatürk war doch nicht kommunistisch oder?

Fidel Castro hat nämlich mal zu einem türkischen Journalisten gesagt, dass Atatürk sein und Ches Vorbild sei.

Comandante ist ein Dokumentarfilm aus dem Jahr 2003 von Regisseur Oliver Stone, der dem Zuschauer einen Einblick in das Leben des kubanischen Staatspräsidenten Fidel Castro geben soll. Oliver Stone begleitete hierzu im Februar 2002 mit zwei Handkameras drei Tage lang Fidel Castro. Hierbei dokumentierte er sowohl öffentliche Auftritte Castros, zum Beispiel einen Besuch einer Universität, als auch den privaten Fidel Castro. Oliver Stone sprach mit Fidel Castro unter anderem über seinen Weggefährten Che Guevara, über seinen Aufstieg zum Staatspräsident, über sein Verhältnis zu den USA und über seinen möglichen Nachfolger. Aber auch über den privaten Fidel Castro, zum Beispiel über seine Rolle als Vater, sein Verhältnis zu Frauen, über Liebschaften und über die Zeitverschwendung des Rasierens. Um den Aufstieg Fidel Castros und sein Verhältnis zum Beispiel zu Che Guevara, den USA und seinem Volk zu dokumentieren fügt Oliver Stone historische Film-, Bild- und Tonaufnahmen ein.
